AUTUMN TERM 2011

Welcome Back!  We hope you all had an enjoyable holiday and are now looking forward to the new school year with excitement.  As our leavers take their first steps into reception we welcome our newcomers to pre-school along with our new 2 and half year olds sessions available on a Wednesday morning.

The first week back we will be concentrating on settling the children into pre-school, playing friendship games getting to know each other and discussing with the children their interests and what they want to learn, incorporating this into our planning along with becoming familiar with the routine and rules of the setting through fun filled learning.  We will be exploring and experimenting with Light and Dark - staying safe, what can create light, what animals appear at night and to help us we will be inviting guests to the setting, going on trips out and walks around the village.  An exciting start with lots more planned.

NEW PLAYGROUND DESIGNS

The pre-school committee held discussions with parents/carers and the children and agreed to fund the small playground markings.  This task is now complete for our return this term.

Train trip to Dawlish - Spring 2009

25 Year Celebration (1982-2007)

Our Pre-school had been open for 25 years in 2007 and we invited past pupils and old committee members plus many people who have supported us over the 25 years to a tea party held in the Primary School grounds on Saturday 15 September.
