Security
The following security measures are taken to safe-guard all children attending pre-school:
- Children ticked in and out as they enter and leave the building
- Register taken and double checked
- Buzzer on locked door
- CCTV in school grounds
- Enclosed outside (Staff member always present if children outside)
- Parental consent book to complete if someone else collecting child
- Ratio 1 adult to 6 children as a minimum
- Regular fire drills in pre-school and with school
- Visitors Sign In and Out Book
- Visitors Labels
- Staff badges
- Staff and Committee are all CRB checked
- Access gate will be unlocked until 9.10am daily, between 11.55am and 12.05pm and again between 2.55pm and 3.05pm to allow for drop offs and pick ups of children. At all other times the gate will remain locked and access to the pre-school will be made via the main school office/reception.
