What to Wear

Children can get messy, very messy, so it's best not to dress them in their favourite party clothes. Aprons are provided when painting or gluing and when playing with our water tray, but accidents can and do happen!

You may notice that some of the children and staff wear 'Sandy Starfish' t-shirts and sweatshirts. The children love to wear these and see it as their uniform. If you would like to purchase either of these items, please contact a member of staff or committee, or the administrator, and they will let you know how you can obtain one. (T-shirts cost £8.50, sweatshirts cost £8.00)

We would also ask that children have a coat with them and wear sensible footwear.

Your child will also be provided with a PE bag and we ask that a spare pair of clothes be placed in the bag together with plimsolls/trainer shoes.

During warmer weather - important

We have a sun policy and we ask that you remember to apply sunscreen to your child before they come to Pre-school and provide a sun hat to wear outside - just in case!

If your child is in all day, we ask that you bring in a named bottle of sun lotion that can be applied after lunch - you never know! (This can be re-applied during the day by a member of staff as long as you have signed the relevant section of the Registration Form).

During colder weather

We request that you remember, when the weather is getting colder, to re-pack your children's change of clothing bags.

If your child has wellies, please bring them in for your child to wear, this will help protect them, especially when raining.

Please label all items (clothing and belongings) with the child's name.
